Sounds like something I would want to make with just a little more time on my hands... Nice idea. Did you see one of the first Pixar animations about the snow man en the snow globe?

The idea is to make it IRL, i.e. have a foldable armature with squishy parts that can actually be posted into a bottle.
A "MrScatHat" from another forum mentioned that there is "The Workshop (2006) by Emma Baker and Jo Johnson" which has puppets in jars.
